I sent out a personal email to Rob and he published it in the digital Dogbowl bullet.
I said it best about how I felt so I’ll just let you read it.

Some feedback from the Inferno we just held in Nashville:
“I thought I would drop you a note and thank you so much for the time you took with me at the Inferno Convention.
The three days of non stop learning that you hosted for us in Nashville, TN was wonderful.Coming from a 20 year background in photography I thought I could learn a little but found that I could learn a lot.
You gave me the tools to do a new body of work that is edgy and compelling.
You have help me tremendously with keeping current with what is happing in the ever changing market of photography.
Bless you for your dedication to the art and your wiliness to share your massive knowledge with the rest of us.

Thanks for the comments Stephen! We had a blast at the Inferno. As much as I end up wiped and tired, I always come away newly inspired and full of new ideas for my studio.
In case you weren’t there, or are wondering what the Inferno is all about, basically it’s a three day intensive workwhop, all day and evenings. Non-stop.
Heck, some members go off on their own and create all sorts of mini workshops. Some were in the lobby until 2:00AM, some were in the elevator.
The first day many were hanging in the parking lot when, lo and behold, a beautiful bride and her groom come walking up the parking lot, looking as if they just stepped out of the pages of a magazine.
What an opportunity! We asked em if they wanted some pics, and she loved the idea (her fantasy was to have a wedding where there were paparazzi everywhere- this was a dream come true!)
Here’s a video of that ‘bonus’ impromptu’ event:
(sorry about the small video size- had the camera set to low-pay attention anyhoo- some cool lighting techniques revealed)
One of our speakers, Mama Shan, created a fun poster based on her newly announced “LolliPop” series. This is cool stuff and what a look!

Stephen’s note! Before clicking on this to see it enlarged please keep in mind that of all of the professional photographers at that training session, Jeannine and I were the only two sane one and Jeannine is starting to wonder about me! LOL)
This is all only the very tip of the iceberg. Getting together with other photogs creates the most amazing synergy and feels like ‘family’. Hope to see you there next year!
